WTCBC's Instructors

YIP MAN / IP MAN

When Wing Tsun  hit the streets of Hong Kong in the early 1950's it was very different from the other systems of Chinese Martial Arts being taught there.

WT used a very different approach to learning martial arts that even by today's standards is very contemporary.

Yip Man took an obscure style of  southern Chinese kung fu and developed a huge following, developing many accomplished fighters.

His last master level student was Leung Ting, and it is from him that we at WTCBC are descended.

Sifu Rod Griffin

ROD GRIFFIN WING TSUN

Rod Griffin began training Southern Shaolin kung fu in 1981, achieving the rank of 2nd level black sash.

Always intriqued with Wing Tsun, he finally had the opportunity to study it first hand in 1994 when he met Sifu Emin Boztepe, and opened the first Wing Tsun school in Kentucky in 2000.

In 2005  Griffin met Sifu Allan Fong, a direct student of Leung Ting, and was accepted as his direct student.

Sifu Sean Griffin

Sean Griffin has been around the martial arts his whole life.

Training throughout his childhood in basic kung fu, he began formally training Wing Tsun in 2008.

Learning from not only his father, he has had the opportunity to train Wing Tsun with Sifu Allan Fong and Sifu Simon Mayer.

Sean is very driven in his training and has a love for teaching and guiding his students.

He is a 3rd level Technician of Wing Tsun.
